I love Google. I have an Android handset, I religiously use the Chrome Browser and I have G Suite Accounts for my businesses – whilst also encouraging all those community groups that I am involved with to switch to G Suite.
I’m not the only one that enjoys G Suite. It’s used not just by small businesses like mine – here’s a few names you may have heard of that are customers of Google – Whirlpool, Asics, HP, Woolworths, PWC and Salesforce. These companies are just a few examples.
These guys are the big end of town but I wanted to share with you my experiences as a small business owner.
Their email servers just work – Using the server that my website is hosted upon for my email has caused issues in the past. Sometimes emails would end up in Spam folders. I’ve never had this problem with Google. My emails now get delivered ALL THE TIME. Google also have great Spam Filters. I don’t have to constantly delete crap.
Cloud Storage that’s safe and secure – I love Google’s Cloud Storage. Everything is secure. Everything is easy to access and everything is easy to share – across multiple devices. This cloud storage relates well to the point expanded upon below.
Work and Collaborate anywhere – Collaboration and access is why I love G Suite. With G Suite I can work, with my team, on documents, spreadsheets and presentations, at the same time. We can all edit the documents in real time. I recently spent a month in Germany travelling and I was able to collaborate with my team back in Australia. Other times I’ve edited presentations on my phone between meetings.
I can ensure the security of our emails and information – If one of our staff loses a phone or device then, pre-Google, there may have been an issue. We’d have lost a whole heap of information and potentially compromised our security. With G Suite we don’t have this problem. If a device is lost or someone quits, our data is protected in a matter of minutes with a changed password
I can add new users easily and quickly – Like maintaining account security, you can easily and quickly add new users to your account with G Suite. If you can use a computer ou can set up a new user – no need to worry about calling IT or any complex setup. It only takes a couple of minutes.
If people use Microsoft Office we can still access these files and work with them – G Suite integrates easily with the Microsoft Office Suite – the common programs like Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Also, and importantly, if I create a program using G Suite Apps, it can be exported as a Microsoft File to be able to be accessed by people on other devices.
I know this sounds like an ad, and it probably is, but G Suite is worth it. Check it out.
